Sarah Dianne Jones is an Alabama native who is proud to have lived in nearly all of the Southern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. A lifelong Presbyterian, Sarah Dianne is a preacher’s kid who has been deeply rooted in the denomination for her entire life. A graduate of Maryville College, she majored in religion before spending 3 years in Washington, DC, working with the PCUSA’s Young Adult Volunteer Program and then serving for two years as the Director of Children and Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church, Arlington, VA.

After moving to Charlotte, NC, in 2019 to begin serving at Sardis Presbyterian Church as the Director of Children’s Ministry, she began seminary on the Charlotte campus of Union Presbyterian Seminary. Throughout her time in seminary, she continued to work full time at Sardis Presbyterian where she was promoted to the Director of Faith Formation in January of 2023. In June of 2024, she graduated from Union with her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Education.
While serving at both First Presbyterian Church and Sardis Presbyterian Church, Sarah Dianne remained involved in volunteer work for the larger church through Montreat Youth Conferences, NEXT Church, and service to both National Capital Presbytery and Presbytery of Charlotte. These experiences offered yet another chance to see the church doing its finest work: empowering all to recognize God’s presence in their lives and nourishing the spiritual development of all of God’s people.
Sarah Dianne is passionate the ever-changing, living, breath Church, dynamic and authentic worship, the way that creativity influences our ability to find joy in the world, and whatever her latest craft is (currently: quilting!).
